Our treatment team provides 24-hour monitoring, treatment and stabilization for individuals who may be struggling with problems such as:

Inpatient care is designed to stabilize individuals as quickly as possible and return them to an improved level of functioning. Our hospital treatment programs focus on stabilizing individuals, providing education about their illness, and helping them to develop coping skills to deal with issues related to the need for hospitalization. Treatment at Aurora Charter Oak includes group and family therapy, medication management and a variety of other activities including recreation, socialization, and expressive therapies. Aurora Charter Oak uses evidence-based, outcome-driven treatment care models, including Seeking Safety.
Our integrated treatment team includes psychiatrists, internists, registered nurses, case managers/social workers, chemical dependency counselors, activity therapists and behavioral health specialists who work closely with each patient to formulate individual treatment goals and assess progress. All patients at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital are assigned to a Case Manager who arranges follow-up care in the community based on each patient’s needs.
Adult inpatient treatment programs at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital provide care and education for individuals who have mental health problems, substance use problems, or a combination of both. Many individuals seeking treatment at our facility struggle with a psychiatric illness compounded by a history of alcohol or other substance use. Treatment in the hospital for an individual with a substance use problem may initially include medically supervised detoxification, followed by a comprehensive co-occurring disorder treatment program. We introduce patients to the 12-Step Model and give them tools to help them maintain their sobriety.

Medicare, Medi-Cal, and most other health care plans are accepted at Aurora Charter Oak Hospital. However, Medi-Cal does not pay for certain services at our facilities such as detox, outpatient programs, and our Recovery Center (RTC).
