Mental Health
Aurora Charter Oak provides different levels of care for mental health for both adults and adolescents. Adults and adolescents experiencing a mental health crisis are admitted into our inpatient care for stabilization to receive more intensive psychiatric attention and therapy. If a lower level of care is appropriate for an adult, attending our outpatient program is encouraged. Adolescents will be referred out to an adolescent outpatient for the time being.
Outpatient treatment is 3 to 5 days a week, where individuals participate in group therapy and other modalities of therapy such as recreational and art therapy. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) allows patients to attend program three days a week and see their psychiatrist once a month. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) allows patients to attend program 5 days a week and meet with their psychiatrist once a week.
We’re dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments for a variety of mental health conditions.
