Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS)

The Behavioral Health Specialist carries out general nursing assistance. Responsibilities include: accompany and transport patients; maintain communication with patients, family members, and referral sources; encourage and facilitate patient participation in therapeutic activities; participate in treatment plans and other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High school, GED or equivalent required
  • Hospital and/or psych experience preferred
  • Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology preferred
  • Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology useful
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision in this regard
    • Current CPR
    • MAB to be obtained w/in 60 days of hire

Collector (Job located in Corona, CA)

This position is responsible for collecting payment from Managed Care Payers, Medicare and Medi-Cal balances.  Duties include but are not limited to following-up on accounts, verifying and updating information, and assisting in completing special projects as required.                        

Education & Experience:

  • High School education or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in A/R collections preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and Managed Care billing guidelines is required
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes
  • Familiarity with online clearinghouses, submissions, and rejections
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High integrity including maintenance of confidential information

House Supervisor

Intake Counselor RN

The RN performs pre-admission assessments and referrals, responds to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.

Education & Experience:

  • Current California RN license
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Outstanding oral communication, assessment and intervention skills
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks in high-traffic areas
  • Ability to deal with crises and potentially combative patients while maintaining personal and emotional equilibrium
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
  • Knowledgeable of patient rights and laws pertaining to mental health

Lead Collector (Job located in Corona, CA)

The Team Lead Collector is responsible for billing and collections for Managed Care, Medicare and Med-Cal.  Duties include but are not limited to resolving billing and collection issues, working with the team to identify processes that enhance the billing and collection process, supporting the collectors, and assisting in special projects as required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School or equivalent education and experience
  • College Accounting course work preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of billing and collection requirements for Managed Care, Medicare and Medi-Cal payers
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 codes
  • Familiarity with online clearinghouses, submissions, and rejections
  • Complete knowledge of AIS, keyboarding skills, math skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • High integrity including maintenance of confidential information

Licensed Vocational Nurse/Psychiatric Technician

The LVN/LPT assists the Physician, RN and treatment team in delivering comprehensive care to all patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders, including administering medications prescribed by the Physician.

Education & Experience:

  • Current California LVN/LPT license
  • Current CPR
  • High School graduation or equivalent in education or experience
  • Basic knowledge of detoxification assessment and treatment procedures
  • Familiarity with the disease concept of addiction treatment
  • Knowledge of 12-step treatment and of cognitive aspects of addictive disease treatment
  • Ability to identify signs of withdrawal from major classes of abused substances and the ability to apply this knowledge to the treatment of chemically dependent patients
  • MAB must be obtained w/in 60 days of hire

Registered Nurse

To deliver quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients who are hospitalized for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders; to support the hospital and program philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.

Education & Experience:

  • Current California RN license
  • Current CPR
  • ADN, BSN or equivalent preferred
  • Demonstrates sound leadership skills and utilizes these skills in organizing the activities and schedules for medical and/or non-medical tasks of the Adolescent and Adult for a given shift
  • Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the child or adolescent psychiatric population; application of this knowledge to a child, adolescent or adult; knowledge of medical terminology, especially those terms associated with child, adolescent or adult psychiatric care
  • Interventions common to acute psychotic as well as non-violent crisis intervention practice
  • Thorough familiarity of psycho-pharmacy and the use of psychotropic medications with child, adolescent or adult psychiatric population, basic teaching and training skills helpful
  • Problem-solving, organizational, time management and crisis intervention skills
  • MAB must be obtained w/in 60 days of hire
