What is an intervention?

An intervention is a situation where an individual is confronted in a non-threatening way about their self-destructive behaviors, such as drug or alcohol use. This is done with the help of loved ones and a professionally trained intervention specialist. An intervention is not always required when someone needs help with an addiction or substance use problem. Robin McGeough, Director of Chemical Dependency Services, is a trained interventionist who can provide helpful information about the intervention process. If you have any questions about this process, you may contact Robin at 626-214-2015 during regular business hours.
