Insurance & Payment

Aurora Charter Oak Hospital accepts most HMO and PPO insurance plans, as well as Medicare.

Special note if you have Medi-Cal as your primary insurance plan:

Medi-Cal does not cover treatment at Charter Oak if you are 21-64 years old.

Medi-Cal only covers treatment at Charter Oak if you are under the age of 21, or age 65 and above.

Regardless of your age, Medi-Cal does not pay for certain services at our facility such as detox, outpatient programs, and our Recovery Center (RTC).

If Charter Oak is not a provider for your insurance plan, we will either make arrangements for a special rate, or arrange for transfer to another facility covered by your insurance plan. For individuals without insurance, our business office will work with you to make self-pay financial arrangements. Credit card payments can be made online.

Please call our Assessment Center at 877-674-7781 for questions about insurance coverage. It is important to know that Medicare, Medi-Cal and other health insurance plans all have strict guidelines for admission as well as what services will be covered in a hospital setting.

Our insurance plan contracts include the following:
